The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development has granted $200,000 to provide a grant-in-aid to the City of West Haven for the costs associated with renovations to the lower level of the Savin Rock Conference Center at 6 Rock Street, West Haven, for use as the West Haven/Savin Rock Museum. The Museum contains displays and memorabilia depicting old West Haven and Savin Rock. The main feature is an on-loan carousel horse named Silver Fox. A public opening for the Savin Rock Museum was held on September 9, 2001. |
